The World of Animals
When talking about les animaux, you will often refer to different groups, their body parts, behaviors, habitats, and products they provide.
Types of Animals
French distinguishes between les animaux domestiques and les animaux sauvages. For example, le chat and le chien are common pets found at home, while la girafe or l'éléphant are wild animals. Even l'abeille is considered in this category, especially for its importance in agriculture.
